David W. Reed, age 81 of Homeworth passed away Wednesday July 15, 2020 at the Community Care Center in Alliance. He was born February 18, 1939 to Donald H. Reed and Ruth (Wendell) Reed.

He was preceeded in death by his Parents; a Brother; Paul and a Sister; Pat.

He is survived by Two Sisters; Margaret and Sharon, one Brother; Roger, two Sons; David Dale Reed of Salem and Randy (Brenda) Reed of Homeworth. 2 Daughters; Darla (Harold) Austin of Alliance and Terry Gott of Canton. Grandchildren; Eric (Cyndi), Alex (Sarah), Heather (Chris), Reba (John), and Mya. Five Great- Grandchildren and a special friend and caregiver Betty (Raymond) Tanner. David worked for many years and retired from TRW/PCC. He enjoyed his Grandchildren and had a love for Antique cars.

At his request there will be no calling hours or services. Internment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends and family may share online condolences at www.deansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean’s Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio.

Leroy A. Kappler, age 76, passed away on August 27, 2018.

Born in Canton, he was a life resident of the area and served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam Era. Leroy retired from Williams Toyota Forklift and enjoyed working on farm tractors and small engines. He loved the outdoors, and liked hunting, gardening and riding in his 1966 convertible. Leroy also enjoyed playing cards and was a fan of the Cleveland Indians.

Preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and two sisters, Leroy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon; son, Forrest (Rachele) Kappler; and grandsons, Bradley and Matthew. He also leaves and will be missed by brothers, James A. Kappler and Richard (LaRue) Kappler; sister, Linda (Richard) Moyer; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) Family and friends will be received prior to the service Thursday, from 4 to 6 p.m.
