NELLIE MIDDLETON
Nellie Brown Middleton, 218 South Bullitt, died in St. Anthony hospital, Oklahoma City, Monday at the age
of 76. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Nazarene church with Rev. Denny Baylor officiating.
Burial will be in Holdenville cemetery, under direction of Hudson Funeral Home. Mrs. Middleton was born Non. 14, 1909 in Berry County, Mo. She moved to the Yeager community as a
young girl. She had lived most of her life in the Holdenville area. She was married to Oliver (Slats) Middleton in Wewoka May 2, 1931. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 1985. Survivors include two sons, Wayne and daughter-in-law Yvonne Middleton, Okmulgee, and Gary Middleton, Tulsa; three grandchildren; Sherry Dossey, Okmulgee; Tracy and Ginger Middleton, and their mother, Karen Kaffer, Tulsa; one great-grandson, Stephen Wayne Dossey, Okmulgee; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Pauline and Roland Adams, Oklahoma City; Opal Middleton of Holdenville; Carmen Middleton of Holdenville and Veneta Middleton of Walnut, CA.

GARY LEE MIDDLETON
A mighty Oklahoman died Tuesday, November 30, 1999 to enjoy his retirement with his Maker. Gary Lee
Middleton was born in Alameda, CA. 56 years ago to Oliver and Nellie Middleton. He lived all but his first four
months in Holdenville, Ok. until he studied and graduated from OSU and began his 33 year career at Ernst and
Young. The last five years of his career have been spent in Lagos, Nigeria working with an external auditor for
Mobil Oil Company. A life rich with brilliant adventures and travel. Gary enjoyed being an active part of Tulsa's
community serving on the American Girl Scout Board, Cascia Hall's Board of Trustee's, Tulsa County Board Member, and The Nichols Service Club. His strong character, vivacious humor, energy and love will be missed by so many: his wife Ann; two daughters, Tracy Middleton Cobb and Ginger Lynn Day; two step-children, Michael Goins and Gina Kirby and their families, his three new grandchildren, Mallory Ann Cobb, Michaella Ann Goins, and Conner Thomas Day; his brother, Wayne Middleton and wife, Yvonne and their daughter and family of Okmulgee.
A celebration of Gray's life will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 1999 at Harvard Avenue Christian Church, 5502 S. Harvard, followed by "Happy Hour". In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Washington University and labeled for Cancer Research in memory of Gary L. Middleton. Mail to Bob Barlzwshi, Barnard Care Center, 4960 Children's Place, Wohl Hospital, Rm. 108, St. Louis, Mo. 63110. The family wishes to say "Thank you" for all the loving support from so many this year.

Completes Course;
Sent to Norfolk, Va. For More Training

Having recently completed the diesel engine school at the Iowa State college, Ames, Iowa. Arthur R. Adams,
fireman first class is now stationed at Norfolk, Va. for further training.
Following his completion of the course at Ames. Fireman Adams spent a short leave here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Adams. His wife, the former Miss Pauline Middleton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Middleton, is remaining here while he is at Norfolk. Mrs. Adams has been with her husband for the past several months and their daughter, Nancy Kay, 3 years, and Claudia Sue, seven months old , have been staying here with their grandparents. Fireman Adams, who has been in the navy six months, will take an eight-week course at Norfolk. He took his boot training at Farragut. Before going into the service, the Holdenville high school graduate was employed as a mechanic for the Greyhound bus line in Kansas City, Mo.
