Daniel Roush was born about 1835 in Highland Co., OH, A search of the 1850 census for Ohio shows only one Daniel Roush born during 1833 - 1835. His age is given as 15 in the 1850 census, but 27 in the 1860 census, Perry Twp., Marion County, Iowa. All subsequent censuses are consistent in showing his age as consistent with a birth year of 1833.1 He married Margaret Stevens about 1853 in Highland Co. (probably), OH.2
