After Lewis died, Lizzie moved to Seattle, Washington. She took her oldest son and one (William) of her twin sons. The other twin (Frank) was left in Ohio to be raised by his aunt and uncle. Why she split her twins is a mystery. In the process, son Frank began using a birth date that was exactly a year later than the correct date. The fact that they were twins is confirmed by Ohio Birth Records:
