Maria Catherine Roth was born about 1803 in Germany.1 She married Caspar Semmler, The passenger list for the ship Luisa from Bremen to Baltimore, dated 24 AUG 1846, shows Caspar Semmler and his children and son in-law, but does not show a wife. It is possible that she immigrated earlier or later, and it is also possible that the Catherine Semler listed on the 1850 census with his younger children was a second wife, and not their mother, but no marriage record has been found in the U.S.A. More research needed. DLB 2015.2,1 She died after September 1850 in Mad River Twp. (probably), Montgomery Co., OH.

Charles and Lizzie apparently took her brother Henry Beisner's two daughters into their home to raise shortly after the 1900 census, after their mother was institutionalized at the Dayton State Hospital. Louisa's newspaper obituary lists them as her daughters.2 Charles Niemeier died on 10 August 1924 in Darke Co., OH.

Wilbur Henry Snell and Violet Isabel Brooks were divorced before 1938. He married Carolyn Burzilla Keller, daughter of Joseph Webster Keller and Mary Ellen Crittin, on 21 January 1938 in Miami Co., OH, Wilbur had a brief first marriage to Violet Brooks abt 18 DEC 1934 In Miami County, Ohio. Wilbur indicated he was divorced as of his 21 JAN 1938 marriage license application, and Violet was remarried to George Stockslager with a one-year old daughter as of the April, 1930 census. Wilbur later remarried to the widowed Luella Alice Johnson, nee Pearson, on 19 JAN 1989 at Richmond, Indiana. Wilbur Henry Snell died on 22 June 1991 in Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH.
