John Rinker was born in 1830 in Shenandoah Co., VA.¹ He married Delilah Maxon on 22 May 1856 in Clark Co., OH; this marriage broke up sometime after the 1860 census and before the summer of 1870, when Delilah was listed living at Tremont Station in Clark County, Ohio, with a young married couple, Henry and Sarah Wise, in her household. John Rinker was not found in the 1870 census -- he had apparently abandoned Delilah and remarried by then. A legal divorce may or may not have occurred. Delilah remarried to Frederick Jenkins (1839 - 1912) on 13 MAR 1877, Clark County, Ohio. DLB 2021. He married Cyrena Sutton, daughter of Asher Holmes Sutton and Martha E. Stutler, in 1868 in Ohio, per her newspaper obituary. John Rinker died on 4 March 1919 in Taylorville, Christian Co., IL. He was buried in March 1919 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, Christian Co., IL, Findagrave #152045209.

Delilah Maxon was born on 23 May 1837 in Ohio; daughter of Sutton and Vianna (Sutton) Maxson, married 6 OCT 1836, Harrison County, WV.¹ She married John Rinker, son of Benjamin Dellinger Rinker, on 22 May 1856 in Clark Co., OH; this marriage broke up sometime after the 1860 census and before the summer of 1870, when Delilah was listed living at Tremont Station in Clark County, Ohio, with a young married couple, Henry and Sarah Wise, in her household. John Rinker was not found in the 1870 census -- he had apparently abandoned Delilah and remarried by then. A legal divorce may or may not have occurred. Delilah remarried to Frederick Jenkins (1839 - 1912) on 13 MAR 1877, Clark County, Ohio. DLB 2021. She died on 31 March 1897. She was buried in April 1897 in Emmanuel Cemetery, Pike Twp., Clark Co., OH, Findagrave #15880023.

Sarah Branner died on 8 May 1886 in Pike Twp., Clark Co., OH. She was buried in May 1886 in Myers Cemetery, North Hampton, Clark Co., OH.
