Utica, April 10—George Ellsworth Clippinger, 79, retired farmer of Pleasant township, Knox county, died Thursday at 6:30 p.m in the home in Martinsburg road of pneumonia. He had been ill three weeks.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sarah Clippinger; two daughters, Mrs. May Hunter of Brandon, Mrs. Blanche Snavely of the home; four sons, John W. Clippinger of Mount Pleasant, Mich., Lester Clippinger of Wooster, Basil G. Clippinger of Brandon, and Pvt. Stanton Clippinger of Ft. Riley, Ks.; 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the home with Rev. R. L. Ryall officiating. Burial will be made in Mount Pleasant cemetery.
