Arthur was born to Roy Ellsworth Toland and Clara B. Merrill Toland. He married Luan Anderson on October 28, 1951 in Macomb. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Steven Lee Toland; six grandchildren; one sister, Norma Jean Kimler and one brother, Roy Max Toland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Melissa Sue Toland and one sister, Ruth Elaine Nickison.
Arthur lived in McDonough County before moving to Arizona in 1969. He operated a Root Beer business in Macomb and then he sold Insurance and Investments.
He was buried in April 2009 in Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb, McDonough Co., IL, Findagrave #36574705.

Normal Boozel
Normal Boozel, 81, 1130 17th Ave. S., died Thursday in a local convalescent hospital where he had been a patient 18 months.
Born and reared in Marietta, Ill., Boozel came to Nashua with his wife, Aquilla, in 1917 and to Great Falls in 1922. He operated a second hand store and later a clothing store on Central Avenue. He left in 1930 to mine for gold in Meagher County.
After serving in World War II, he worked for a railroad out of Oakland, Calif., and later at tile installation at Billings until retiring and returning to California. He moved here in 1973. His wife died in 1928.
Survivors are a son, Dail B.; daughters, Mrs. Ed (Shirley) Zabinsky and Mrs. Robert (Pearl) Pyatt, all of Great Falls; Mrs. Clifford (Norma) Gillies, Havre; Mrs. Harry A. (Rebecca) Leffler, Anchorage, Alaska; a half-sister, Ethel Elchlepp, Oxnard, Calif; and 10 grandchildren.
Private memorial services will be held later. Cremation has taken place.
He was buried in March 1976 in Highland Cemetery, Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT, Findagrave #139339877.

Graveside services for Grace Panneman, 83, of 44 S. Souder Ave., Columbus, formerly of Appleton, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bushell City Cemetery, Bushnell, Ill., with Mr. Maurice Cooper officiating.
She died Sunday evening at Mr. Carmel Medical Ceneter, Columbus. She was born Aug. 2, 1896, in Fulton County, Ill., to the late Johyn D. and Cora (Gibbis) Boozel.
She was a licensed practical nurse.
She is survived by one son, Robert Panneman of Stillwater, Minn.; three sisters: Mrs. Minnie Rambarger of Gartway, Mich., Mrs. Ruth Raymong of Colchester, Ill., and Mrs. Etheil Elschlepp of Oxnard, Calif.; one half brother, Edward DeWitt of Creve Coeur, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. Crouse and Son Funeral Home, Johnstown, is in charge of the arrangements.
