RUTH, Age 85, Septenber 11, 2011. Lifelong resident of Wyandotte. Ruth was an active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, the Episcopal Church Women (ECW), and Sunday School teacher for 17 years. She also worked for many years as a receptionist at Marcia's School of Dance in Wyandotte. She is survived by her daughter Shelley (Gerry) Olexsey, son Gavin (Kathleen) Haag, and grandchildren Andrew Olexsey, Jenna Olexsey and Ceilya Haag. Preceded in death by husband John M. Haag in 2010 and siblings: Melba, Grace Mary, Sue, James "Buck" and Dale. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 2803 First Street, Wyandotte. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to St. Stephen's Memorial Garden. Cremation arrangements by H.F. Thon Funeral Home.

Memorial service for James William "Jim" Lyons, 67, will be held today at 2 p.m. at Riplinger Funeral Home. Cremation will precede the service.
Mr. Lyons, who died Wednesday, was born in Wyandotte, Mich. He moved from Deer Park to Spokane two years ago.
After high school graduation, he served in the Navy during World War II. He retired in 1977 as a supervisor for General Telephone after 15 years.
He was a member of the Deer Park Veterans of Foreign Wars and a former member of the Lions Club.
Mr. Lyons is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jane Lyons, at home; three daughters, Linda Strobeck and Cynthia Krout, both of Camas, Wash., and Jerianne Newcomb of Vancouver, Wash.; three sons, James Lyons II and Matthew Lyons, both of Spokane and Gregory Lyons of Wenatchee; four sisters, Suzanne Abbate of Tucson, Ariz., Ruth Haag and Melba Sciacca, both of Wyandotte, Mich., and Grace Mary Snay of Lincoln Park, Mich.; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

DAVENPORT — Allan H. Hahn, 86, of Davenport, passed away, Monday, June 25, 2018, at his home with his loving family by his side. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Grandview Baptist Church, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. at Weerts Funeral Home, Jersey Ridge and Kimberly. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Allan was born in 1931 to Morris and Helen Hahn, in Tacoma, Washington. He served with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. On December 7, 1957, he was united in marriage to Janice L. Reid. Allan was a local business owner for many years. During his free time, he liked to tinker on cars, work on his yard, go fishing, play with the dogs and listen to music, but most importantly he loved being with his family. Allan was an active member at Grandview Baptist Church and the Thursday Afternoon Panera Coffee Club. Allan was privileged to go on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., because of his military service.
Those left to honor Allan's memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Janice; their daughter, Teresa (Kent) Wilson; two grandsons, Ben and Tim Wilson; his sister, Loretta Pratt; his brother, Arnold Hahn; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Clifford.
He was buried in June 2018 in Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport, Scott Co., IA, Findagrave #190928160.
