In her girlhood her life was committed to serving Christ. She united with the Church of the Brethren. Through life, serving and witnessing for Jesus Christ was a daily part of her life. Each Sunday, where ever she may be found her in Church as a Sunday School teacher singing in the Choir and giving thanks for God's great love and goodness. She was a devout Christian and loved and respected by all with whom she came in contact. Upon moving to Tishomingo she became a member of the Methodist Church and was an active and faithful member and worker.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Hazel Byerly Fowler, Colorado and 21 niece and nephews and a host of friends.

Marietta Byerly was graduated in McPherson Brethren University, McPherson, McPherson Co., KS.
