William Gene Moore, 64, of Flora died 10:15 p.m. Wednesday in Flora Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Cardascio Funeral Home, Flora, with visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora, with graveside military rites.
Mr. Moore was born in Malvern, Iowa, son of James Reno and Elizabeth M. Moore. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Flora. He was a World War II veteran and member of the American Legion and Flora Kiwanis. He married Margaret C. Wigginton in 1945.
Surviving are his wife; son, Jeffrey Reno of Flora; daughters, Mrs. Rober (Barbara) Mislich, Mrs. Wayne (Donna) Moran and Mrs. Richard (Margene) Burmeister, all of Flora; Mrs. Ronald (Joyce) Marchi of Hickory Hill; brothers, Ted of California; Owen of Omaha, Neb.; sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Katherine) Thomas of Flora; Mrs. Roger (Leah) Butcher of Glenwood, Iowa; 11 grandchildren.
He was buried in 1977 in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora, Clay Co., IL, Findagrave #24535851.

He married Cynthia Gayle Thompson at Kendallville on 29 JUN 1965. Stephen gave his occupation as U.S. Army paratrooper. That marriage did not last 15 months -- she remarried, as Cynthia Wigginton, to William E. Myers, Jr. on 24 SEP 1966 at Auburn, Indiana. Stephen is listed in public records, living at Las Vegas, NV and Chandler, AZ, in the 1990s as Stephen J. Wigginton, Sr., suggesting he had at least one child. He remarried in 1997 to Rosemary A. Hewitt at Las Vegas, Nevada.

Howver, Blanche's son Roy Rolly Shuman, born 9 MAY 1921, is listed on his marriage record as being a son of Edward Shuman. Blanche remarried to William T. Chalmer South in November, 1922. Harry and Roy were both listed as "South" in the 1930 and 1940 censuses. Roy Rolly Shuman's biological father may or may not have been Ulysses E. Shuman. DLB 2020.

Obit: Thurs 26 Nov 1970 Times Recorder, Zanesville, Ohio Caldwell - James D. Kirkbride, 80 of Pleasant City Route 1, a retired farmer, died at 2:30 A.M. Wednesday (Nov. 25) at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was born Oct. 21, 1890. in Noble County, a son of Peter and Matilda Brothers Kirkbride. He was a life resident of the area. Surviving are his widow, Rebecca Weaver Kirkbride, six sons, four daughters, 35 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Lawrence Kirkbride of Caldwell; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Flynn of Mount Perry and Mrs. Rachel Ankrom of Lore City.
