He was buried in June 1866 in Pittman Cemetery; Moberly Road, Harrison Co., IN.

Note: Probably the Benjamin Windle appearing on page 79A of the 1830 head of household census, Harrison Twp., Harrison County, IN. Ages of children are a match with some of the known children. An elderly woman (between 70 and 80) was in the household, probably his mother or mother in-law.
