ROWLAND Gerald L. "Jerry" Rowland, 75, of Jacksonville Beach passed away on July 10, 2009. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and has been a resident of the Jacksonville area for over 51 years. He was a system analyst for NCR, University Hospital and owner of Rowland Business Systems. He was a Navy veteran, a graduate of Ohio State University, and member of the VFW and American Legion posts. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie; he was survived by and was the devoted father to his children: Laura Faux (Jeff), Kevin Rowland (Lori), Jennifer Browning (Rick) and Therese Stamitoles (Mitch). He was the loving grandfather to his four grandchildren: Meghan & Sean Poole and Bryan & Matthew Faux. He was also survived by his step-children Stephen Caron (Cindy), Laura Wright (Tom), Kimberly Caron, and their children. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 6-8 pm at Hardage- Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, Fl 32250. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association of North Florida, 6852 Belfort Oaks Place, Jacksonville, FL 32216. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
