Adaline Hayes was born in January 1846 in Illinois; her parents are unknown. No close match to her name is found in the 1860 census anywhere near Tazewell County. In the 1860 census, she was listed, age 14, living in the William and Jane (Lester) Sennett household in Sand Prairie Township, with no other apprent relatives anywhere near that location. This Jane Lester's ancestry and fate is also unknown -- she could have been related somehow to Adaline. DLB 2022.¹ She married David Hawkins, son of John Hawkins and Charlotte Temple Larimore, on 10 December 1863 in by Ezra Rector; J.P., Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL. Adaline Hayes died on 21 September 1921.

She was buried in September 1921 in Lakeside Cemetery, Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL, Findagrave #203609311.

Adaline Hayes was also known as "Adelaide" Hayes. She lived on 24 June 1880 in Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL.² She lived on 6 June 1900 in 215 Charlotte Street, Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL.¹
