Floyd Edwin Younkin, age 80, of Columbus died Sunday, July 20, 1997 after a lengthy illness. President of Greenlawn Realty Company and founder of Greenlawn Mobile Home Sales and Park, Greenlawn R.V. Center, Scarlett Manor, Rose Hill Terrace and Enchanted Acres Communities, all of Columbus, Ohio. Preceeded in death by parents Howard and Tessa Younkin, brother, Carl F. Younkin; deeply missed by his loving and adoring family; wife of 56 years, Mary Irene, son, Ronald P. (Linda) Younkin; daughters Janice (Robert) Benjamin and Scarlett (Dr. Thomas) Ebenhack; nephews, Jerry (June) Dunkle and Michael (Cathy) Dunkle; niece, Marlene (William) Heitman; brother Russell F. (Nancy) Younkin of Orient; sisters Gladys West. Marjorie (Harold) Wilson of Ashville, Lola Faye (Charles) Mumaw of Columbus, OH; sister-in-law, Phyllis Younkin of Walnut Creek, CA and much beloved nephews, nieces and their children; 9 grandchildren, Ronald L., Brian and Brett Younkin, Shari Wright, Wendy Hamler, Robert and Raymond (Rayme) Benjamin, Thomas Jason (T.J.) and Wesley Ebenhack; 5 great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Benjamin, Schuyler and Nicholas Wright , Blake Hamler, great nieces and nephews, J.L. He was founder of the now Dycom Industries, Inc. of West Palm Beach, Fl. He was a recognized Mobile Home Park developer in Ohio and Florida. He was i nducted into the Hall of Fame in 1982 by the National R.V. Mobile Home and Park Developers Association. He was a member of the Ohio State University Presidents Club. 50 year member of West Gate Lodge #623 F & AM, 50 year member of the Alladin Temple Shrine, 50 year Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, 25 year member of the Downtown Columbus Rotary Club and Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow. He served as president of the Central Ohio Mobile Home Association, President of Ohio Mobile Home Association and National Dealers Board. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Masonic Service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel Rev. Michael Watson and Rev. W illiam Snyder officiating.
