Mrs. Elizabeth Pletcher King, wife of Samuel C. King, died at their home, near McCracken, this county, April 10, aged 71 years, of infirmities incident to advanced years. Mrs. King was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pletcher, deceased, and was highly esteemed. She united with the Brethren Church when a young woman and was an excellent Christian woman. Besides her husband she is survived by the following children; David, of Video; Scott and Thomas King, of Murraysville, Pa.; Joseph King, Mrs. James Wendell and Mrs. Nora Whipkey, of McCracken; Mrs. Albert Hughes and Dempsey King, of Cameron, W. Va. Two brothers and one sister, William Pletcher, of Clarksburg, W. Va.; Uriah Pletcher, of Cameron, W. Va., and Mrs. Sarah Campbell, of Marysville, Ohio. The funeral was held on Thursday in the Sugar Grove church, conducted by the Rev. W. T. Hilbert, Rev. N. M. Anderson and Rev. J. M. Murray. Interment in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.

She was buried in April 1917 in Sugar Grove Cemetery, McCracken, Greene Co., PA, Findagrave #29294118.

Couple Weds at Lutheran Parsonage

Announcement was made today of the marriage of Miss Violet Wiley and Samuel Wendell which took place March 17 at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. J. W. Schillinger, pastor of Emanuel Lutheran church, on South Prospect street. They were unattended.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred George Hobbs of London, England. Mt. Wendell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Wendell of 839 Davids street. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell are at home at 371 Cherry street. The former is employed with the Pollak Steel company.
