Kendall: Born March 6, 1933, was embraced by God Nov. 12, 2010.

Mr. Barrett was a United States Army Airborne Veteran of the Korean War, member of St. Mark R.C. Church in Kendall and was a faithful member of the Tuesday Morning Loyal Work Force. He was also a loyal member of the 187th Airborne Association of Rochester, and a social member of the Kendall Fire Department. In retirement, Ed greatly enjoyed working at Brown’s Berry Patch.

Mr. Barrett was predeceased by his father and mother, Conrad and Ida Barrett; brother, James Barrett; and sister, Alice Hill. She was a native of Greene County, a daughter of James Wilmer and Nellie Kiser Rader.

She was a member of Jonesborough United Methodist Church, the Schubert Club, and Jonesborough Garden Club.

Mrs. Smith was the widow of Bill Smith, who died in 1989.

Survivors include her sister: Elizabeth McNew of Pennsylvania; two nephews: Danny McNew of Pennsylvania and Pat McNew of Atlanta, Ga.; and two godchildren: Dena Hensley of Telford and Karen Thornton of Jonesborough.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home, Jonesborough.

A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in Fairview Cemetery. The Rev. Ken LaDuke will officiate.
