Kendall: Born March 6, 1933, was embraced by God Nov. 12, 2010.
Mr. Barrett was a United States Army Airborne Veteran of the Korean War, member of St. Mark R.C. Church in Kendall and was a faithful member of the Tuesday Morning Loyal Work Force. He was also a loyal member of the 187th Airborne Association of Rochester, and a social member of the Kendall Fire Department. In retirement, Ed greatly enjoyed working at Brown’s Berry Patch.
Mr. Barrett was predeceased by his father and mother, Conrad and Ida Barrett; brother, James Barrett; and sister, Alice Hill. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Barbara; his proud and adoring children, Patty (Dana) Longrod, Julia (Mike) Kludt, Joseph (Kathie) Barrett, John (Michelle) Barrett, Stephen (Amy) Barrett, Christopher (Kristine) Barrett, David (Stephanie) Barrett; 19 very loved grandchildren, Alyssa (Garrett), Andrew (Jenna), Philip, Elizabeth, Jacob, Joshua, Justin, James, Ryan, Jordan, Quintin, Evan, Olivia, Abigail, Zachary, Nicholas, Brandon, Alea, Lucas; his brothers, Bob (Judy) of Rochester, Bill (Mai) of Las Vegas; sister, Helen Nicholson of Chili; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat (Steve) Morley of CA, Ed (Marlene) Pietrowski, Linda Pietrowski; several nieces, nephews, and many very special friends and family members including Jay (Val) Miller and their boys.
The Family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 W. Albion Road (Rt. 31)-Holley, MONDAY from 4-8 p.m. Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Mark R.C. Church-Kendall, TUESDAY, 11 a.m. for Ed’s Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in W. Kendall Cemetery with full Military Honors. Funeral services for William Dulaney Smith, 71, 201 Oak Grove Ave., Jonesborough, who died Wednesday, will be conducted Friday, May 5, at 2:30 p.m. from the Jonesborough United Methodist Church, with Dr. George Wampler, the Rev. William Bull, and Dr. Ben St, Clair officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Junior Younce, Alfred Greenlee, Judson Thornton, Zeke Miller, John Kelner, Mark Hicks and Emil Messimer. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Weems, Hayden Hannabas, John Wemberly, David Barnes, John Deakins, Billy Sell, John Sell, Larry Denny, Bobby Murray, Bill Parnell, Bill Hawkins and John MCClellan. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Rader Smith; one sister, Mrs. Charles Gillespie, Jonesborough; two godchildren, Mrs. Dena Hensley, Telford, and Karen Thornton, Jonesborough.
In lieu of followers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jonesborough United Methodist Church.
The body will be moved to the home at 1 p.m. Thursday and to the church at the time of services.

Graveside services for Mrs. Lula Smith Gillespie, age 68, 107 Oak Grove Avenue, Jonesborough will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery, Jonesborough. Officiating Clergy will be Rev. Ben St. Clair, Rev. Dr. George Wampler and Rev. William Bull. Pallbearers who are requested to be at the cemetery at 10:54 a.m. will be: Joe Conger, Elmo Rowland, W.E. Roberson, Billy E. Smith, Roy Phillips, John C. Dillow, Dean Erwin, Alfred Greenlee, David Deakins, Judson Thornton.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Jonesborough United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society, 66-A Wilson Ave., Johnson City, TN.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday. Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
