Agnes R. Moubry, 95, of 1645 Ninth St., NW, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Palo, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in her home. Memorial services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Teahen Funeral Home by the Rev. John Howerton. Burial: Palo Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her son, Bob (Karen); daughter, Sharla (Marvin) Heath; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of Cedar Rapids; and a brother John Comreid.
Her 11 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Agnes was born July 4, 1908, to August and Mary Hynek Comreid in Cedar Rapids. She was married to James Arthur Moubry for over 50 years. He died in 1988. She was a former employee of National Oats and a past member of Palo United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Palo United Methodist Church, Camp Courageous or to the family.

Sharla Marie Heath, 84, of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center following a short illness.
Services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor John Howerton. Burial: Palo Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Teahen Funeral Home. Friends may also visit Saturday after 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Sharla is survived by two children, Trina Heath (fiancé Gar Helming) of Cedar Rapids and J. Ladd (Sue) Heath of Iowa City; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Good, Emily Heath (Joey Akers), Ali and Carson; great grandson Caleb (and one on the way in January); and brother Robert Moubry, wife Karen, nephews Brad and Jeff and Heath family nieces and nephews.
Sharla was preceded in death by her husband Bud.
Sharla was born March 24, 1927 in Center Point, the daughter of James Arthur and Agnes Ruth (Comried) Moubry. She married Marvin "Bud" Heath on April 7, 1949 in Cedar Rapids.
Sharla graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and was a member of the Nurse Cadet Corps. After the war she worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Galveston. Following her stay in Texas she moved to Cedar Rapids and worked at Mercy Hospital, Methwick, and retired from St. Luke's Hospital.
Sharla was a childcare volunteer at Harrison and St. James and a Girl Scout Leader. Gardening was a great passion of hers, as well as reading and travelling with her husband. Sharla enjoyed feeding and watching birds in her back yard. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.

Marvin Heath, 81
Marvin "Bud" Howard Heath, 81, of 1220 N Avenue NW, died Monday, September 6, 2004, at his home after a courageous battle with emphysema. Services: 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Teahen Funeral Home by the Rev. Roland Oswald. Burial: Palo Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday after 9 a.m., at the funeral home.
Bud is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharla; son Ladd (Sue) Heath of Iowa City; daughter Trina Heath of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Jennifer of Seoul, South Korea, Emily, Ali, and Carson all of Iowa City; two sisters, Alice Kahler of Palo, and Grace Lintz of Cedar Rapids; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and his wife's parents, James and Agnes Moubry, whom he considered his second parents.
Bud was born September 9, 1922 in Cedar Rapids the son of John and Myrle Hutson Heath. His father died when Bud was young and he was raised by his mother in the Palo area. Bud graduated from Palo High School. Bud enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in 1942 and served on the patrol frigate USS Van Buren as a Gunner's Mate First Class. He took part in six major invasions in the South Pacific during WWII. He was married to Sharla Moubry on April 7, 1949 in Cedar Rapids. Bud joined the Cedar Rapids Fire Department in 1947, retiring in 1977 from the Fire Inspection Bureau. After retirement, Bud worked part time at Weland Laboratory. During his retirement, he enjoyed his grandchildren, backyard bird watching, and the Chicago Cubs. Bud was a member of VFW, American Legion, and St. James United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be given to St. James United Methodist Church Sunday School and Youth Groups.
