WEST PEORIA - Robert "Bob" Craig, 63, of West Peoria passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in the presence of his family.

He was born May 5, 1945, in Peoria, Ill., to Floyd and Pauline (Andrews) Craig. He married Barbara Behrens on July 24, 1965. She survives.

Also surviving are sons, Joe (Teresa) Craig of Germantown Hills and John (Gail) Craig of Washington, Ill.; a daughter, Jody (Jim) Nieukirk of Peoria; a sister, Dorothy (John) Hanson of Germantown Hills; brothers, Ronald (June) Craig of East Peoria and John (Terri) Fisher of Creve Coeur; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Bob was the senior director of development for Community Workshop & Training Center, and previously was a manager and area supervisor at McDonald's for more than 20 years.

He was a board member of Share Food, chairman of the board for Harvest Food, a Peoria Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, and member of Knights of Columbus and West Peoria Neighborhood Watch.

He belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Bob was a very giving individual, a trait he inherited from his mother. He lived for his grandkids, and will be sadly missed by his dog, Magnum.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with entombment following in Parkview Cemetery.
