Ex-E.P. Pastor Dies in Dallas
Word was received here today of the death in Dallas of Dr. Floyd W. Poe, 89, pastor emeritus of City Temple Presbyterian Church there and for 10 years a Presbyterian minister in El Paso.
Dr. Poe was a former moderator of the Presbyterian Synod of Texas and past president of the Dallas Pastor Assn. He retired in 1947 and for the past 20 years has written a column for the Dallas Morning News.
Dr. Poe was born in Daisy, Tenn., and educated at Cumberland University, Lebanon University and Lane Theological Seminary. His first pastorate was in Lebanon. He was pastor in El Paso for 10 years, ending in 1928 when he moved to Dallas. He was active there in several clubs and Community Chest agencies. He was a member of the judicial commission of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A., and of the Presbyterian War Commission during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Glenna Poe, and a daughter, Miss Helen Poe, both of Dallas.
Services were held this morning in Dallas.
He was buried on 27 January 1967 in Hillcrest Mausoleum, Dallas, Dallas Co., TX.
Occupation: Presbyterian Minister. Rev. Floyd Poe lived in January 1920 in El Paso, El Paso Co., TX. He lived in 1942 in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX.

ABRAM S. MYERS
SUCCUMBS TO HEART DISEASE
Abram S. Myers, 71, died of heart disease Wednesday night at his home, 1830 W. High st. He had been ill for seven weeks.
He was a member of the First Lutheran church and belonged to Champion Council No. 2, Junior Order United American Mechanics and to the Springfield lodge, No. 33, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
Mr. Myers was a pattern maker. He was born in Franklin county, Pa., and had lived in this city for sixty years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Myers; two sons, Earl and Arthur Myers, both of this city; three brothers, Hiram of Monte Vista, Col.; Albert of Bell Norte, Cal.; and Edward of Pueblo, Col.
At the time of his illness, Mr. Myers was an employe of the Springfield Malleable Iron company, having been employed there for 43 years. He was a foreman of one of the departments.
Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be made in Ferncliff cemetery.
He was buried in January 1923 in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Clark Co., OH, Findagrave #57335087.
