Mrs. Martha Scott Passes Away; Buried At Welty
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Anna Scott, 64, of Spencer, were conducted Aug. 23 in Welty and burial was made in the Welty cemetery.
Martha Anna Stiffler was born in the Cherokee Nation, August 5, 1892. She married S. H. Scott November 25, 1911 and to this union 10 children were born. Four children preceded her in death. Mrs. Scott died August 21, 1956 in Oklahoma City. She had lived in Oklahoma all her life.
Survivors include her husband, S. H. Scott, Spencer; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Irene Audrey Jones (sic) and Mrs. Bonnie Drake, Oklahoma City; three sons, Chas. Scott, Concord, Calif.; Claude Scott, Spencer and Samuel Scott, Wellston; 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother, other relatives and many friends.
NOTE: Mrs. Nellie Irene Fisher was the first surviving daughter. DLB 2025.

Lloyd was a WW II veteran and a 32nd Degree Mason, belonging to MWC Chapter 532. Retired from Tinker AFB after 26 years, also retired from Okla. State Capitol Security Service after 8 years.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Audrey Jones of the home; his children who loved him dearly, Jim and Mary Jones and Mike and Pam Jones of OKC, Tom and Jackie Jones of Perkins, Ok., Sharon Sheek of Moore, Ok., David Sheek of OKC; 9 grandchildren, Dana, Kristi, Kelly, Scott, Tara, Clay, Billy and Sean; mother, Georgia Jones of Bristow, Ok.; 4 brothers, Bob Jones and Bill Jones of Wichita, Ks., Orin Jones and Louis Jones of Ca. He will be missed by many more relatives and friends. (He left an empty place in our hearts that can never be filled.)
